Midsummer!

Photo: :-)

Last weekend we spent in Copenhagen, we had 3 nice days, with sunshine , wind and some rain. As we arrived on friday morning at 7am, we had plenty of time to explore Copenhagen that day. We arrived at our hotel at 8am, left our bags there and went for breakfast to a cafe´ on Ströget, the street almost empty at this time. The sun was shining and we enjoyed our breakfast before we went on the canal boatcruise, a good way to get a view of the city from the waters. After that we stayed at Newhaven for a while before walking along Ströget again, back to our hotel to check in and have a afternoon nap, very much needed after getting up at 4am. Later in the evening we went to the amusementpark Tivoli and enjoyed a dinner there. On saturday it was nice and sunny, we did a Hop on Hop off -bus tour in the morning, and got off at Newhaven ,where we ate lunch outdoors and watched people walk by. In the evening Nico went to watch rugby to a bar next door to the hotel, and otherwise we had a relaxed evening. On sunday we just walked around and realized almost all shops where closed, not so nice when we had time until the evening, our  flight leaving only at 20.35 to Vasa, straight flight, so we ended up going to see a movie:)...we had walked enough over the weekend anyway! It was a good weekend, and I think 3 days is enough time to spend in Copenhagen, especailly if only staying in the center. For shopping I do still prefer Stockholm:)

Girls spent their weekend with my mom& Markku at the summerhouse in Kokkola, and they enjoyed it much there. Viivi got a ticbite( fästing/punkki) , so now I just have to follow her condition for a while, but I think my mom saw it quite fast after it attached to her. I do not like these tiny small creatures!

Today is midsummer, Nico is having his birthday today, me and the girls sang for him this morning and he also got a present:) We are going to spend the midsummer at home, feels like we have been away so much lately so home feels like the place where to be.

I wish you all a sunny and warm midsummer!

Love Jannika
