South Africa

Hello everyone,

Firs tour is behind and I have not had time to write anything here, internet has been so slow and I have had my hands full, but here is  alink to my facebook site where I have updated while on route and I have had some kind of a signal, more pics are coming later. Please see what I have written on facebook on this page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Africa-Experts/504704009549078?fref=ts
Im now in south Africa, 1st tour ended yesterday and I flew to Johannesburg and met Elizma, so wonderful to see her again! We are now in Betlehem close to the drakensberg mountain visiting our friends Winona& Peet & their children on their farm. Weather is great, sunshine and views as far as the eye can see, lovely place. Tomorrow we are moving on to Namibit game Reserve http://www.nambiti.com/ , there Elizke& Desmond are working as lodge managers and running a cheetah project, we will also enjoy some game drives as it is a big five reserve. After that we are moving on to Thabazimbi and visiting Nicos mom and dad and brother with family, before I fly to Cape Town to meet up the next group.
I will update more now when I have internet access and not on a move all the time.
Love Jannika

The African journey has began!

Sitting at Helsinki airport and waiting for my next flight trough Heathrow to Johannesburg and from there further on to Windhoek. I will be on the move for the next month, only back in Finland again 06th December. Looking forward to all adventures  ahead of me, but it was very difficult saying goodbye to my daughters Liina & Viivi and my husband Nico this morning at the airport, I do not like goodbyes, I was already crying last night just thinking about the goodbyes, still tears in my eyes, so it was a goodbye with many  tears this morning . Liina understands that I will be away for many weeks, Viivi does not understand the timeconcept so well yet, and Liina is now taking the role as the big sister/mommy. Nico told me that on the way home in the car she had told Viivi with a firm voice that she has to put on the seatbelt immediately:)
I arrive in Windhoek tomorrow afternoon, I have a friend , Mia Halonen , travelling with me as she will join this first Namibian tour, and the second one she will be a tour leader for( as Im then guiding a group in South Africa), the best training is to see how it is done in real:) She will help me out with groups in the future. As our local guide on the tours will be Nicos cousin Lezinda from Namibia. I will open a facebook page, Nico is busy organizing the site, and once Im in Windhoek I will start sending pictures and keep you updated with pictures and short descriptions about where we are and places we visit. I can also at this point inform you all that Im in the process of registering a company also in Finland, that site will be up running soon. I will give all details later:)
During the month I wontalways have good access to internet, but I will link the facebook site here once it is up running and you can then follow my journey from there.

Love to all of you and especially to  my family I miss so much!
