Hi everyone,
As you all can see I have had a long summerbreak from blogging. Sometimes it is good to take a break and then start with new energy again, and I have had quite a few things to do this summer. This summer has been enjoyable and warm after midsummer, before that it was much colder than usual here in Finland, but after midsummer I think we have enjoyed one of the best summers in years, and still now in end of September the weather is sunny and and warm , but getting quite crispy towards night.
As I did quite a lot of travelling during last winter season and we where travelling for 6 weeks in March-April around SA the whole family, we have stayed at home the whole summer and enjoyed life without packing and moving around, that is very enjoyable also. We got a beautiful cat in June, a Bengal cat, Roxy is her name, she is a very energetic, kind and loving cat, she is our little leopard, here a recent picture of her when she is keeping me company in my office during the days when I work, sitting on the printer, her favourit spot at the moment:)
I have planned tours to many private people this summer and they are travelling during this upcoming season between October- March, and I´m happy so many private people have found me and contacted me regarding tailor made tours to southern africa. I have also got questions regarding Tanzania, Sanzibar and Kenya, so we do offer tours to that part of the world also. We are invited to take part in Magical Kenya Travel Expo now in October , there we will get more insight and latest updates what is happening in Kenya, make new connections, so keep tuned, we have many new plans coming up.
Next week I´m travelling to Croatia with a group, I have done it a few years now and it is a beautiful country to visit, rich in history, good food, beautiful landscapes, old towns, nature, clear water. It is not part of what we offer, but my old employer have a great variety of tours around the world: Ingves-Svanbäck. Even a tour to south africa coming up in March 2015
In beginning of November I´m heading to South Africa, Botswana and Vic Falls with a tour I have organized for Lomalinja, there is a few available seats left so you can still join the group, it is a great tour where we also have a cooking class in the township outside Cape Town, we do a gourme´ walking tour in the city, not only seeing the mother city trough a bus window, we step out walk around and take in the atmosphere, smells and stages of history by tasting flavors the city has to offer and getting the history how these flavors ended up in Cape Town. We also see Table mountain, Cape point, going on safari drives and river safari at Chobe in Botswana, and finishing off the tour with the mighty Vic Falls. I must say myself that is is definitely a tour with many highlights.
In beginning of December I´m invited to take part in Botswana travel and tourism Expo, that will be a very interesting and a good opportunity for us to get all the latest news and even a deeper knowledge about what we can offer our clients in Botswana.During the stay I will also visit a few camps in Chobe and Okavango Delta and take many pictures so I can share my experiences with you later.
That is how my next few months looks like. It will be a busy few months ahead, but after a summer spent at home I´m ready to pack my travelling bags and get out on the dusty roads and show what a beautiful travelling destination Africa is. And I will have a christmas and new year at home this year, that I haven´t had for many many years.
Have a wonderful weekend all of you!
Love Jannika
