Back in Finland

Home sweet home!

We have been at home over a week. Our flight went well, even if very little sleep. As always, goodbyes are difficult, but as we know we are going back in November again, it went much easier than the time we moved to Finland 4 years ago...already 4 years!
The girls where so excited seeing the snow, and I think the most enjoyable moment was when we arrived home and they could explore their rooms again, all toys, they where busy until late that first evening!:)
It is nice being home again, especially now when we are getting closer to spring and summer:)but just the small things like sleeping in my own bed, having my own walk in closet, not just a suitcase, and all the small things around the house makes it home. We have managed to get a routine going already, girls are going to daycare around 8am every morning, I start working in a weeks time, everything is packed up and house organized, feels like we have never been away, not for 5 months, so little has changed.
First weekend Katcha, Anssi & Aina came to visit,we made pizza and cupcakes with the girls and we all had a lovely time, girls really play good together. During the week I have been to town everyday, and I had a 4 hour lunch with Immo on wednesday:) much to catch up on. And we saw our friend Stefan at the Bistro early in the week, all smiles and shine, but why would he not, he is now a father of two girls:)
Life here is good, a nice balance to our life in South Africa.
Weekend ahead of us, and Nico has been talking about an old Landrover now for ages, so on saturday he is going to finally have a look at it..only looking...I'm not so sure, I have a feeling he is coming home with it, seems like love at first sight..heheeee.
A great weekend to all of you.

Countdown

Hello,

It is time for us to start wrapping it up in SA for this time, only 9 more days to go! This weekend we spent in Thabazimbi, visiting Nicos brother& his family, it was Roelofs birthday. It was a relaxing stay, girls spent a lot of time playing with their cousins Selkirk & Luan, and Liina lived on the trampoline, non stop jumping, until she fell asleep in th evening. We are back at Elizma again, and these last days we just gonna do some shopping, training, and enjoy the sun and the heat...as in Finland that will be still a while away! But, some great white snow we really looking forward to, maybe Nico finally gets on those skies and learns how to skie..even if he probably wants to start from the deep end and jump on the snowboard! Mummu has bought Liina& Viivi skies:) That will be a sight, I have three people to look after when they learn to ski...Liina, Viivi & Nico!
Viivi has learnt how to open doors, so nothing is safe anymore, this morning I woke up when she came with her ' tutti ' to my bed and it was full of body lotion, and she wanted me to wash it for her, she had unpacked my bag from this weekend, all the creams, shampoos etc..and all was like a small pool on the floor...and that was not the end, then she decided she will go a brush her teeth, only thing is if she just get the chance she uses the whole tube! One needs to have full eyesight on her all the time. Viivi has also learnt to talk her own language and tries to pick up words she hears, and she loves to sing:).
To all friends in Finland, I will write a few more lines before we come, but it really will be nice to see you all again:)
